Kaitlyn Bernhardt

Board President

Kaitlyn is a graduate of Academy of Art University and Colorado State University - Global Academy. She spent her adolescence moving all over the country, spending some time in Turkey, and traveling. She enjoy combining my marketing knowledge with my passion for design. She has experience working across several disciplines from UX web design to print narratives. In her free time, Kaitlyn is an avid nature enthusiast and philanthropic minded community leader, wife and mother.

Wendy Walter

Board Treasurer

Wendy has enjoyed serving the community through Morgan County United Way and is a long-time board member. After graduating from Colorado State University Wendy began working at Bank of Colorado, Brush and has now been with them for the last 18 years. Wendy enjoys watching her daughter at all of her school events and extra-curricular activities. 



Michael Boyer

Board Secretary

This is Michael’s second time serving as a Board Member on the United Way of Morgan County Board of Directors. Michael enjoys serving his community. Michael has a wife, three children, a daughter-in-law and one grandchild. Michael works as the HR Director for Cargill and is very active in his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Michael and his family have resided in Morgan County since 2008. Michael and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time with their family.

Sonya Bass

Board Member

Sonya is lifetime resident of Morgan County. She was raised in Brush, graduating from Brush High School. She then attended the University of Northern Colorado, where she obtained her nursing degree. She is married to John, and they have three sons and two granddaughters. She is the Chief Nursing Officer at Colorado Plains Medical Center, where she has worked for over 30 years. Sonya has been a long time member of the United Way Board. She is a lifetime member of the First Christian Church and is also on the Board for the Eben Ezer Foundation and the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.



Alexandria Peck

Board Member

Alexandria is a local Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys giving back to her community. She has lived all across the world and enjoys spending time with her family near and far.



Chaundra Jacobs

Board Member

Chaundra served as Exective Director for United Way of Morgan County from 2018-2024. She iniated the collective impact model "Growing Together" at United Way of Morgan County. She is home grown in Morgan County and graduated from Aims Community College. She previously worked at Centennial Mental Health Ceneter mentoring youth. She is thrilled to continue to be a part of the United Ways mission. She enjoys spending time with her family, husband Jeremiah, and daughters Harper and Myah.



Rena Frasco

Board Member

Rena is the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment for Morgan County School District Re-3. She has lived in Fort Morgan for 24 years and loves bucket-filling community activities! She is passionate about culture and languages as she had the blessing of living abroad twice- in Norway and New Zealand. She and her husband, Mark, have 2 beautiful daughters, Kristen and Leia. In her free time, Rena enjoys traveling, reading, and crafting, and taking care of her 3 crazy dogs!



Meghan Francone, MHa

Board Member

Meghan Francone is a dedicated and passionate advocate for community health and wellness. As a Senior Consultant at Cascadia Management Group, Meghan leverages her expertise in healthcare administration, behavioral health program management, and nonprofit leadership to drive meaningful, lasting change. Meghan's extensive background includes serving as the Director of Behavioral Health Services at Integrated Insight Community Care and the Executive Director of Crisis, Trauma, and Advocacy Programs at Memorial Regional Health. In these roles, she demonstrated her ability to strengthen internal and external partnerships, optimize operations, and deliver high-quality, compassionate services to the communities she serves. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Meghan is a respected leader and trainer in the field of suicide prevention. As a Master Trainer for LivingWorks and the QPR Institute, she has educated over 2,600 individuals in evidence-based suicide intervention skills.


Meghan's deep commitment to community health and wellness led her to join the Board of Directors for the United Way of Morgan County. In this role, she leverages her expertise to support the organization's mission of improving lives and strengthening the local community. Meghan's collaborative spirit, strategic mindset, and unwavering dedication make her a valuable asset to the community. With a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, a background in Speech-Language Pathology, and a range of professional certifications, Meghan brings a unique blend of knowledge and experience to her work. She is passionate about promoting inclusive, trauma-informed practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organizations she serves.

Vanotte Freycinet

Board Member

Processing Manager at Leprino Foods. Five years ago, relocated to Fort Morgan and quickly became a vital part of the community. Since settling in been actively volunteering at various local events and offered steadfast support to initiatives that uplift and unite people in the community. 


Driven by a deep passion for equity, championing for all community members, reflecting he values and heart of Fort Morgan. Outside of work and service, I enjoy traveling, spending quality time with family, and making memories with a lively crew of cats, aquatic turtles, two lively Great Danes.

  • Organized landlord/ tenant education events to reduce housing instability.
  • Connected families with emergency rental assistance and local housing programs.
  • Secured funding for transitional housing programs in collaboration with local nonprofits.
  • Advocated for affordable housing solutions through city/county partnerships.

Food Action Team

  • Launched and operated mobile food pantry events in rural neighborhoods.
  • Secured multi-year grant funding to support local food distribution programs.
  • Coordinated community gardens and fresh food access initiatives.
  • Built partnerships with schools and local farms to support youth meal programs.

Health & Wellness Action Team

  • Conducted a wellness needs survey in collaboration with local clinics.
  • Began outreach to culturally specific health providers and interpreters.
  • Established partnerships with behavioral health agencies for collaborative projects.
  • Developed a community resource map to improve awareness of local health services.

Child & Youth Action Team

  • Supported youth mentorship and tutoring programs in local schools.
  • Collaborated on summer enrichment programs for underserved youth.
  • Connected families with childcare and early childhood education resources.
  • Hosted community forums to elevate youth voice and shape programming.

    Provides free pregnancy testing and counseling, advocacy- support educational materials, adoption referrals and abstinence and relationship based curriculum.
